Healthy body, healthy mind, happy soul.
Who doesn’t want long, shiny, healthy locks? With these few tips, long healthy hair is achievable.
One must remember though that patience is key with growing hair. There is no magic secret to growing hair out super quick but you can take steps to ensure it grows healthy and strong.
Hair typically only grows about a quarter of an inch to half an inch a month. I am sure we have all heard that getting regular trims makes your hair grow faster. Without regular trims, split ends work their way up hair strands which ultimately causes your hair to break off high up on the strand. Dry and brittle hair is also more prone to breakage and split ends. Fresh water keeps the entire body hydrated including hair and skin, thus preventing breakage.
Another tip is to not shampoo every time you take a shower. Over washing your hair takes essential natural oils out of your hair that are essential to its health.
Instead of shampooing, which is meant to only take dirt and grime out of your hair, condition as much as possible. Conditioner replenishes nutrients that your hair needs plus there are many natural options available. Coconut oil and castor oil are great options for conditioning in the shower and even overnight masks. Coconut oil is rich in antioxidants and helps improve scalp health, supports hair growth and also adds volume and shine with no added harmful chemicals.
The health of your hair is the result of your internal issues and diet. Make sure your diet is rich in Omega-3 fats, flax seeds, chia seeds and protein. When these extra steps are taken, your hair’s health, length, and shine will have drastic improvements.
